Joining the Southwest Veterinary Hospital team in June of 2018, Dr. Kristyn Pendley has since proven herself to be a vital member of our veterinarian staff. Some of Dr. Pendley’s professional interests include internal medicine and preventative care, and she is great with all our patients and clients. As a member of the California Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Association, Dr. Pendley is well versed in veterinary practices and medicine.
She completed her undergraduate education at University of California, Davis with a degree in Animal Biology. Dr. Pendley then went on to achieve her doctorate in veterinary medicine from Western University of Health Sciences College of Veterinary Medicine. Amidst her studies, Dr. Pendley received honors as a silver member of the Veterinary Business Management Association.
Even before veterinary school Dr. Pendley was developing her passions for animal care. Her love for helping animals and their owners began with her early involvement at an equine hospital where she developed a stronger bond with the animals she cared for and the clients she interacted with. It was after veterinary school that she realized her love for small animal medicine and helping others.
At home, Dr. Pendley enjoys riding her horse, a Quarter Horse / Morgan Cross named Ramsey, going hiking out in nature, spending time with her family and friends, and going camping. She can also be found spending time with her beautiful Pitbull / Lab mix named Nash.
