Our Work In The Community
Southwest Veterinary Hospital takes pride in providing care to the hardworking canines of local law enforcement departments. These include: Bakersfield Police Department, Kern County Sheriff's Department, Kern Valley State Prison, and the Bakersfield Probation Department.
We proudly support a number of local efforts, such as countywide rabies clinics; Bakersfield SPCA, Animal Care Center, and Animal Control; Kern County's Humane Society, Animal Shelter, Animal Control and Friends of Kern County; the Wasco Animal Shelter; The Cat People; and Alpha K9 Sanctuary.

My cat Willow has gotten the best of care from Dr Holland and the staff. They go the extra mile to make sure our fur babies are well taken care of. Highly recommended to family and friends and to whomever wants epic quality veterinary care. We saw Dr. Jensen who was thorough, solid bedside manner and spoke in simple terms. His assistant was a gem. Office staff was friendly and expedient. Clean facility as well. Couldn’t have been any better for Louis!
