“I’d like to think my dad was the one who got me in the field. When I was younger he would rescue animals and would often times nurse them back to health. This drove me to want to care for animals. Ever since I was younger, I wanted to be a Veterinarian. In 2022 I decided to take a Veterinary Assisting Program. This would give me a foot in the door to Veterinary Medicine. From here I would like to way my way back to the top. Once I obtain a certain amount of time and practice in the field, I plan to take the Veterinary Technician National Exam to become a register vet tech. From there I would like to go back to school to become a Veterinarian.” -Mackenzie
